The Vashon Art Tour is held twice a year—always on the first two weekends of December and the first two weekends of May.
For many local artists, the Art Tour is an important and consistent vehicle for presenting their latest body of work in a venue that is self determined and personal. The artists depend upon the local community to provide a sounding board and a direct market for their ongoing work.
For the public, the Art Tour provides a unique opportunity to share in the development of artists who we have seen grow over time…and, the chance to meet some artists who are new to the Vashon art scene…
The concept of selling art directly from the studio offers a fascinating and educational experience for visitors, who will be interested to see the artists’ tools and workspaces, and learn about the processes involved.
